Design Notes

The sequence for arsenate reductase was codon optimized for use in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Additionally, introns were inserted into the sequence to improve transgene expression.

The sequence for arsenate reductase was derived from the genomic sequence of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The original sequence prior to optimization can be found at the following gene identification number: 856330.
